In maths, here we are measuring classroom things with a ruler in centimetres.

At the start of our topic about unusual animals ,we had to match the animal to its description in English.

In Maths we have been finding out how many tens and ones there are in each number to 50 ,by using dienes and a part part whole model.

Year 1 are building on their science knowledge of plants and trees .We explored around school to find different wild and garden plants also deciduous trees.

In Maths we have been learning how to estimate on a numberline.

This week we have made snowy scenes . These were created to give us ideas for our snow poem .

We had to use our problem solving and team work skills ,during our time doing imagination gaming .

Enjoying the spooky Halloween setting, reading our books in the library .

During this weeks History lesson we had to match the correct facts to , Marie Currie, Mary Seacole and Jesse Boot.

Week beginning 16 th October. In English we have tasted different flavoured jelly beans. This allowed us to use some fantastic adjectives to describe them

During English we have designed a new flavoured jelly bean in readiness for our new creation.

We practiced our fine motor skills making our own jellybean stalks threading beads onto pipe cleaners and shared the flavours names with each other .

In maths this week we have been working out all the different addition number sentences for numbers up-to 10.

This week we have been enjoying acting out our story Jack and the jellybean Stalk.

We even made our own Jellybean Stalk using our fine motor skills.

Week commencing 2.10.23 we are reading the story of Jack and The Jelly Bean Story. We have had lots of fun acting out the story ,with our story stones. We had a challenge to build beanstalks using the describing words.
