The Foundation Stage 1 children had a great time acting out the story of "Stickman" by Julia Donaldson this week. On forest learning we collected sticks, twigs and lots of different natural objects to make our very own stick people.  We have also been very busy making our fantastic Christmas tree cards and bumblebee calendars.

Autumn 2 - Week 2

The Foundation Stage 1 children have been exploring Anti Bullying and we have been "treating everyone with respect" through a range of books this week. "Giraffe Is Left Out" taught us what bullying is and "How To Be A Lion" showed us some reasons why people bully.  We have learnt about STOP which remind us that bullying is Several Times OPurpose and that we have to Start Telling Other People.

We have also been learning about and looking for rhyming words within our story of the week “Oi frog by Kes Gray”.

 Autumn 2- Week 1

This week the Foundation Stage One children enjoyed using puppets to act out and retell the story of "Shark in the park" by Nick Sharratt. We have been learning about Bonfire night and used a variety of different materials to make our very own fantastic firework pictures. We had so much fun!

Autumn 1- Week 6

This week the Foundation Stage One children enjoyed using puppets to act out and retell the story of "Elmer" by David McKee. We have been learning about different emotions, talking about how everyone is different and that this needs to be celebrated. We explored how people would feel during different emotions by using mirrors to show facial expressions and body language.
