Investors in Pupils
Investors in Pupils is a UK school programme that helps children take an active role in school life. It encourages pupils to help make decisions, set goals, and look after their learning and school environment.
The programme focuses on five main areas:
1. Learning and Goals
- Pupils and teachers work together to set personal and class goals.
- Classes choose rewards to celebrate success.
2. Classroom Responsibilities
- Pupils help create class rules and routines.
- Children learn to care for equipment and understand that resources cost money
3. Attendance
- Pupils learn why coming to school every day is important.
- Classes work together towards attendance goals.
4.Behaviour
- Pupils help create a positive, respectful classroom where everyone feels safe and ready to learn.
5.Welcoming Others
- Pupils help welcome new children, staff, and visitors by making guides or giving tours.
Why are we doing it?
- It gives children a stronger voice in school.
- It teaches teamwork, responsibility, and money awareness.
