Year 4 Miss Lord

In RE, Year 4 were visited by Mr Darlington who shared the story of the Wedding at Cana.

Year 4 enjoy their daily reading comprehension tasks. For our final week of this half term, and our last week learning about the Tudors, we explored the book King Henry VIII'S Shoes

Internet Safety Day 2020. The children were creating their own avatars to use on 3D imaging programmes.

As part of our History study of Richard III, Year 4 recreated the famous archaeological excavation of the King in the car park.

In Design and Technology, the children were building their chocolate boxes using nets.

In English, the children were advising Charlie Bucket on what to do with the money he found. These scenes were acted out in our conscience alley exercise, where the children got to each express their advice to Charlie.

During Science, Year 4 experimented with different variables to test how long it took ice to melt.

Creating paper mache art, inspired by the four elements: Water, Air, Fire and Earth.

Our class were fortunate enough to visit the Science Department at Samworth Academy and witness some amazing experiments.

Year 4 used oil pastels to create their own self-portraits in the style of Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo.
