Summer Term Home Learning Expectations

Hello Year 3 Children, Parents and Carers!

We hope you've had a break at home and have kept your days and routine varied over the Easter break.

Moving forward with our Summer Term Home Learning, the daily pack will consist of the same basic blocks:

  1. PE with Joe
  2. Time for Times Tables Rock Stars
  3. Time for Spelling Shed
  4. A maths focus task
  5. A reading task supported by an extract from https://www.lovereading4kids.co.uk
  6. A short English writing task
  7. 'Topic Bingo' work - you get to decide!

Following this plan allows us to ensure that you all are continuing to keep your skills fresh by practising the basics as well as learning new things! Daily time on both the apps (Spelling Shed and Times Tables Rock Stars) will allow us to see how you are getting on at home too - these are really important.

Each week, it would be fantastic to see some examples of the work you feel really proud of - you can share these with us by emailing us at: Y3@abbey.notts.sch.uk

Thank you!

Mr Potter and Miss Fox

Summer 1 Learning Journey:

Please see below our Learning Journey for Summer 1. Had we been in school, this would have been our vision for our topic. However, we felt that it was important you received the full flavour of what we intended. Our bingo style tasks will incorporate lots of this learning.

Rest assured that on our return, we will endeavour to make sure that gaps in learning are filled and we are thinking carefully about this when we know more information.
