Our first science topic of the year is materials. The children have been naming different materials, using ambitious vocabulary to describe the properties of these materials and then using the names of materials and their properties to talk about objects in a more scientific way. We have been working scientifically, asking and finding the answers to our questions but exploring lots of different materials and considering can we twist, bend, stretch ir squash them?
