School Council

Welcome to our

School Council page!

During the Autumn term the School Council have been working very hard on fundraising.

The School Council organised a non-uniform day for the St Lawrence's Church fund and held a stained glass window competition. The standard was very high and Mrs Baines had a hard job in selecting the winners!

We raised an amazing £385.25!

For Poppy Day the School Council organised and sold a range of poppies. We also sold glitter tattoos on the day and covered a giant poppy with 1p, 2p and 5ps. It took the school councillors a long time to collect and sort the money!

We raised a stunning £552.71!

The School Council also wanted the children to understand why we have Poppy Day. We started the day with a special assembly and then everyone made a class poster.

The School Councillors collected ideas from their classes about how to raise money for Children in Need and then the whole school voted in assembly. The overwhelming majority wanted a pyjama day so everyone donated £1 each to wear their pyjamas. Even the Bumblebees stay and play group joined in! The School Council sold glow in the dark Pudsey keyrings, wristbands and ears and also sold cakes and healthy snacks on the day.

We raised a staggering £1019.39!

The School council collected ideas from their classes and decided to ask for a £1 donation to wear a Christmas jumper for Save the Children. They also held a "Best dressed Christmas toy" competition and started the day with an information assembly and Christmas singalong!

We raised a wonderful £348.84!
