Keeping Safe Online

Safer Internet Day 2018

Miss Mumby led a whole school assembly on Safer Internet Day. She asked three volunteers out to the front to squeeze out a tube of toothpaste onto a paper plate. She then asked the children to put the toothpaste back into the tube using a spoon - this proved to be very difficult. This activity highlighted to the school that internet posts, once posted, can be seen by many. Whilst they can be deleted, they cannot be unseen, just like the toothpaste couldn't be re-tubed.

Children across school then took part in a range of activities to support this year's theme:

Create, connect, share respect: A better internet starts with you!

Below - we introduce you to I-man (Internet Man). Our e-safety mascot designed by Lucy Oliver.

Look out for I-man and his messages around school!
